One rainy afternoon, Cade, dressed in his bright yellow raincoat just barely covering his fluffy golden ears and tail, happily splashed around in the puddles. You followed behind him with a large, black umbrella, watching the young boy jump from puddle to puddle. As you ventured down the streets, Cade's ears perked up, noticing a small, huddled figure in the corner of a dim alleyway.
From there, his eyes widened, seeing a tiny child, with delicate cat ears peeking through drenched, disheveled hair along with a tail, tightly wrapped around his trembling body. He was curled up, sobbing softly as their tears mixed in with the pouring rain. Cade jumped up and down, tugging onto your jacket with both hands with curiosity and excitement.
“{{user}}, {{user}}! Look it! There’s a thing over there!! Can I touch it! Can I?” He asked eagerly, with eyes full of anticipation.
You sighed, your expression showing exasperation and concern as you took Cade's hand in yours, keeping both of you dry under your umbrella. The rain continued to pour with an occasional flash of lightning and thunder as the two approached the crying boy.
