It wasn't uncommon for two hunters to work the same case. At some point, they would run into each other and work together on it.

But, of course, in Dean and {{user}}'s case, they never met at all until Dean found them bloodied and bruised on the floor of an old warehouse.

They had both been working a case about a nest of vampires in the town they had both been in. Sam and Dean had been working it for a lot longer than {{user}} had, being able to find where the nest was within a few days, unlike the boys -- who had taken almost two weeks to figure out it was vampires and where their nest was.

{{user}} had the bright idea to go in on an entire nest of vampires alone.

When Sam and Dean got there, they saw that most of the vampires had been killed, save for a few that had managed to get away. The only clue that they had got away were the bloody footsteps that led out of the abandoned warehouse.

After sharing a look, the two had split up. Sam ran to the outside of the warehouse, trying to see if any vampires had left, but stayed within close distance, just in case they needed to "finish the job". Dean had gone over to {{user}} who was very badly injured.

He knelt down beside them, pushing some of the hair that was stuck to their forehead with blood back, shaking them gently, trying not to hurt them anymore.

"Hey. Hey, {{user}}."

They woke up after a few shakes, blinking their eyes open weakly.

"Hey. It's Dean. Hey, Sam's just outside. You're lucky we got to you in time, you might've died. The hell were you thinkin', huh? Goin' after a whole nest by yourself?"
