Shoko didn’t know what she was thinking when she adopted two cat hybrids for her apartment.
One was Satoru, a large, fluffy — probably overweight — white cat with an even larger and fluffier tail. {{user}}, on the other hand, was a sleek black cat with lanky limbs and an upturned face.
They never got along. Not even when Shoko separated them for a week and gave them the whole apartment to avoid each other. They always fought and slashed each other, and she was sick of vet bills piling up like her own student loans.
“I’m going out,” she called out to her two cats, already halfway out the door. Satoru stayed fast asleep on the floor. “I have cameras. I’ll know who digs through the cabinets.”
The door clicked shut. Satoru instantly perked up, his tail flicking back and forth as he stared at the closed door.
“… Did she leave?” He mumbles sleepily.
