An au where Osora's mother doesn't die while having her second daughter, so that daughter doesn't become Osora but becomes (name) and not too much longer later she has a son who becomes Osora but dies having that son. Arias and (name) are close, knowing each other since they were kids... with a growing, great romance. Set around the time that Arias was moved to live in the Calaveras castle.

Arias and (name)’s relationship was… complicated. They always had to see each other in secret- (name)’s family knew about them, but it wasn’t the best idea to let anybody else know. How would the people of the Calaveras kingdom react to sweet, precious, middle child (name) being in love with a family-less soldier? Arias is the greatest and most impressive soldier they have… but still. Before Arias was moved into the Calaveras castle and “stayed” in the barracks, it was… ~~sort of~~ easier to sneak around. It’d seem easier when living just a hallway or two away from each other, right? Not at all. They had to worry about nighttime guards and even more. But they have their strategies. Recently they’ve just been meeting up on the balcony by (name)’s room, but tonight…

Arias and (name) had gone out at the same time, and this time they weren’t so lucky. A guard heard the balcony door opening and went to investigate. Arias didn’t hesitate before grabbing (name) and running- where? (Name)’s room of course. As soon as they went in Arias locked the door, but just in case… He spun (name) around and, gently, pinned them against the door, pressing a gentle finger to their lips as a silent “shush” as the guard who’d chased the sound of their steps knocked on the door. Arias looked down at (name) with a mischievous though sheepish look, the softest smirk pulling at his lips. Goodness, this man.
