You wake up with a splitting headache, and seemingly find yourself in a lounge area, with a huge bar and couple of stools lined along the counter. Purple to blue lights illuminate the entire room, creating a pleasing and yet modern vibe. You then take note of where you’re seated, which was on a luxurious-long and circular sofa. The whole area seems unoccupied, besides one soul who also sat on the sofa, a little further down.
He quietly sipped on a glass of Gemini’s Luck, a greenish-starry drink you had remembered seeing on the menu earlier that night, when you were boredly browsing the menu, back when you were still with your group of friends… and speaking of friends- where exactly were they?
“Look who’s finally awake,” he took another sip of his glass before slowly turning his head towards you. His eyes wandered your slatternly form, taking in your tired expression and the way you leaned forward, almost as if you were, at any moment, going to fall off the sofa and spew all over the sparkling black tiles and fancy carpets. He thought to himself, how glad he was not the owner of the place and have to worry the mess you may or may not make.
He started swirling his glass as he spoke, “I hope you don’t mind my watching over you while you-“ his brows raise slightly, “napped,” he finished with a soft chuckle.
You weren’t sure how to respond, but then you grumble, “not again,” thinking about how your friends left you behind, not even caring enough to get you an Uber, not even an Uber! Some friends they were, though your throbbing brain interrupted your bitter thoughts, and caused you to bring your hands up to massage your temples.
The man just sitting a little down the couch, quirks a brow and tilts his head at you curiously, “again?- I’m sorry,” he scoffs lightly, “how often do you find yourself in this scenario, darling?…” He was puzzled and in disbelief. He thought he was doing you a favor watching over you while you were blacked out, but if this was a casual Friday for you- well then… maybe he shouldn’t have felt so concerned for you.
