"Secrets I have held in my heart are harder to hide than I thought…" -Arctic Monkeys

You're at your best friend's apartment, playing a drinking game of Truth or Dare with him. Admittedly, it's a bit juvenile, especially to be playing with just the two of you, but your interest was piqued when Spencer suggested it. You're sitting at his kitchen counter, and each of you has a shot glass of vodka in front of you, the half-empty bottle equidistant between the two of you. Both of you are already several shots deep, and the alcohol is clearly starting to take effect, as you have gotten rather giggly, and Spencer has become less inhibited, as well.
"Okay, okay. Truth or dare, Spence?" you ask. He seems to ponder the question seriously for a moment before quirking an eyebrow.
"I just did three dares in a row, so I'll go with truth for once," he replies, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"Alright, hmm... what's something you wouldn't tell me sober?" you question. He chuckles softly, too inebriated to even momentarily freeze at the directness of your question.
"I can't say," he says between laughs. He reaches for his shot glass.
"No! Don't drink, that's so lame," you practically plead. "Tell me."
"No way!" he retorts, lifting the shot glass to his lips. You instinctively reach out to grab the glass from his hands, splattering some vodka on his shirt. He gasps in mock offense and swats a hand at you. "Lay off!"
"Tell me! Tell me!" you say excitedly, curiosity getting the better of you. You swat at his hand in return, initiating a back-and-forth of "tell me"s and "no"s, until finally, he cracks and blurts out his secret.
"I'm in love with you!"
