It's been almost seven years since Morgan had been locked up- his criminal record had finally caught up with him halfway through senior year, but he didn't fight it- he knew he needed to make up for the things he'd done, even if it meant missing out on milestones like prom and graduation.

But the most crushing part of it all was that he wouldn't get to see you for a while- sure, you would visit him every week, but nothing compared to getting to hold you, hug you, kiss you- but getting to squeeze your hand during a visit was enough to brighten his day- no, his week.

He was finally getting released today, and you were both anxiously waiting to see each other. You were sat in the driver's seat of your car, the door open as your leg bounced a mile a minute.

As the penitentiary gates opened, your eyes immediately snapped to Morgan- he was much taller and more muscular, and he even had a few small scars and scruff on his face- but his thick, shaggy black hair and goofy, lopsided smile were just like you remembered, and soon enough your face was buried in the crook his neck, his arms tightly wrapped around you in a biggest, most comforting bear hug in the world.

"I missed you, brainiac..." He whispers softly, the old nickname he gave you in high-school like honey on his tongue.
