You were standing with Mattheo outside the classroom, your shoulders brushing. He was in the middle of telling you a story about a first-year student who had almost blown up a cauldron when the atmosphere changed.

You felt it before you saw it.

    Draco had entered the hall.

Everything about him demanded attention. The precise way he moved. The arrogance in his posture. He walked with a quiet confidence, flanked by Blaise and Pansy — but it was his eyes that caught you off guard.

They were scanning the hallway like they were bored of everything they saw.

    Until they landed on you.

    And paused.

    Draco’s gaze didn’t flicker. Didn’t move.

    You didn’t look away.

Pansy noticed, of course. She always did.

“Who’s that?” Draco asked without turning his head. His voice was low, but Pansy leaned in like he’d shouted.

“{{user}}. Theo’s sister,” she said coolly. “She thinks she’s better than everyone. Doesn’t play by the rules. I’d be careful if I were you.”

Draco’s lips curved into a smirk. “I’m counting on that,” he murmured.

Pansy raised a brow. “You’re joking.”

    But he wasn’t.

“I promise I’ll be kind…” he said under his breath, just for himself. “But I won’t stop until that girl is mine.”

Across the corridor, you blinked, only half-listening to whatever Mattheo had just said. Draco’s stare had shaken something inside you.

You turned slightly toward Mattheo. “Who was that?” you asked.

Mattheo’s jaw clenched, just for a second. “Draco,” he said simply.

You watched him walk away, your gaze following him until he disappeared into the classroom.

You hated how much you wanted to follow him.

I promise I’ll be kind… but I won’t stop until that boy is mine.

Mattheo’s gaze was on you now. He leaned in a fraction closer. “You don’t want to play with someone like him,” he said quietly.
