Johnny was unluckily an easy target for getting beat on by the socs, especially when he walked alone. Johnny walked alone today to the Curtis house, he couldn’t get his mind off of {{user}} Curtis. He was going to stay over the night with them, Johnny always hung around with Ponyboy and {{user}} together. Time went on and {{user}} and Johnny had started dating, the whole gang would never quit ragging the pair. And Johnny’d be lying if he said he hadn’t gotten multiple warnings and intimidations from Darrel over {{user}}. Johnny wasn’t paying attention when some socs had rolled up in their mustang.

Ponyboy and {{user}} had been sitting on the sofa, discussing Johnny ironically. They both expected him to get there earlier, trying to figure out why he was so late. Johnny stumbled through the front door, his state made {{user}} look at him in astonishment. Johnny sported a split lip, black eye and a couple scratches and splotchy bruises. Johnny explained sheepishly, {{user}} was just thankful it hadn’t been worse. He dragged Johnny along to the bathroom to clean him up. Johnny sat down on the edge of the tub, tonguing at his split lip, it stung. {{user}} began to clean him up, trying to be gentle while keeping the pity down to a minimum. Johnny didn’t like being pitied, or being a bother at that. Though he didn’t mind {{user}} cleaning him up, close to him, looking so focused with the furrow in his brow.
