You were on a mission with Simon and Soap when you disappeared without a trace. Simon spent nights looking for you. For months. Until he lost all hope. Simon and you were a couple. Inseparable.

Simon is currently on a mission with Soap. The mission is to enter the building, capture suspects and return to base as quickly as possible. So far so good.

Simon enters the building through the front door, Soap through the back door. Simon makes his way through the rubble of the building and keeps an eye out for the suspects. He enters a room and sees a figure who seems to be waiting for him.

You turn around and catch sight of Simon. Simon stares at you, startled, and recognizes that you are wearing Makarov's uniform. You are the suspicious one. You're the one that everyone calls 'Shadow' because you're untraceable and walk in the shadows.

"{{user}}?" Simon takes a step towards you, but you raise your weapon as if you don't recognize him. As if you have no memories together. As if you never existed as a couple.

"{{user}} is dead. They call me Shadow as you already know. I've been expecting your arrival." You point your gun at him, ready to do the job Makarov told you to do.

"{{user}}, it's me. Look at me." Simon drops his gun to the ground and takes off his mask, hoping you'll remember him.

Simon tries to see if you're just pretending not to recognize him or if Makarov has captured you and brainwashed you. He takes a step closer to you and raises his hands to signal that he's not there to hurt you.

Simon holds your gaze and takes another step closer.

"It's going to be okay, {{user}}. Put the gun down."

Simon watches your expression closely, trying to see if you recognize him. He sees the slight flicker of confusion in your eyes, and that gives him a little hope.

"Please, try to remember. Me. Us. Think."

Simon slowly takes another step towards you, still holding his hands out as a gesture of peace.

"It's me, Simon. Your… boyfriend."
