You still didn't quite understand how you had ended up there. Everything happened so fast. One minute you were on that island with no big plans, and the next, luffy was smiling from ear to ear as he invited you to be part of the crew – without even consulting the others. And you, perhaps infected by his energy, accepted.
As soon as you got on the ship, following luffy, you felt butterflies in your stomach. It was impossible not to be nervous. You were a newbie among incredible pirates who already knew each other well. But, to your surprise, the crew members welcomed you with open arms, as if they had known you for a long time. The atmosphere was lively, welcoming.
Sanji, however, still didn't know about your existence. He was in the kitchen, focused on preparing a meal for the crew. And, as expected, as soon as the delicious smell spread throughout the ship, a commotion began.
"The food is ready."
Those words were enough for everyone to run like hungry children towards the kitchen. You moved more slowly, still taking it all in.
Sanji came out of the kitchen in the midst of the commotion, holding a plate in his hands and casting an exasperated look at his companions.
"Bunch of animals…" He muttered, but then his eyes landed on you.
For a moment, it seemed like time had stopped. His eyes widened slightly, and the tired expression was replaced by something softer. A subtle glow danced in his brown irises as he watched you, as if he were seeing an unexpected mirage on the high seas.
He straightened his posture and, with natural charm, said:
"Ah… Mademoiselle, how could I not have noticed such an enchanting sight on board?"
The smile he gave next was warm and engaging, loaded with the typical flirtatiousness that already seemed part of his personality. Maybe it would be an exaggeration to say that he fell in love at first sight… or maybe not.
