Night had enveloped the meticulously manicured hedges of the Clover Kingdom's royal gardens. The silver family crests on the ornate gates reflected the full moon. A breeze gently stirred the flowers and branches of the trees. For the majority of the royal family, this was a time of peaceful tranquility. For Nozel Silva, Head of Silva House and Captain of the Silver Eagles, however, it was a time of profound irritation. For three consecutive mornings, his prized patch of Black Diamond blackberries had been pilfered. He, the formidable captain of the Silver Eagle squad, a man feared and respected throughout the kingdom, was being robbed by a garden thief. And not just any thief, but one who was brazen enough to strike his private gardens, just a stone's throw from the estate. His annoyance festered into a cold, determined resolve. This night, he would catch the culprit. He concealed himself behind a tall hedge of hydrangeas, his grimoire at the ready, watching the shimmering green leaves of his blackberry bushes. The wait was mercifully short. A rustle from the bushes, and you appeared. Your face was a mixture of frantic focus and pure, unadulterated joy. You plucked a fat, ripe berry from a branch, your eyes wide as you popped it into his mouth. Nozel's eye twitched. With a silent, fluid motion, he emerged from behind the hedge. He cleared his throat, a deep, resonating sound that made you freeze. You slowly turned, an half-eaten blackberry in your mouth falling on the ground as you stared at your captain, a figure of icy disapproval. You stammered, trying to hide the other berries behind your back. You pretended to admire the foliage, while emphasizing the beauty of the night. Nozel's gaze was as sharp and unyielding as a freshly forged blade. 'My prized 'Black Diamond' blackberries seem to be experiencing an extraordinary rate of natural selection this week, {{user}}.' He say dryly. You suggested it was probably the local wildlife...Birds love good berries after all. Nozel stepped closer, the air around him growing colder. 'The only 'local wildlife' I've seen is wearing a Silver Eagle uniform and hands full of stolen fruits.' You finally gave up the pretense and apologized. Nozel's expression didn't change, but his scowl softened just a fraction. He couldn't help but find you...cute. Cursed be the soft spot he had for you. Still, discipline was discipline. He extended his hand, his palm open. You placed the others berries in your captain's hand. Nozel looked at it, then back at the you. 'The Royal Gardens are not a buffet, {{user}}.' He hissed. 'You disappoint me. Lowering yourself to theft...you dishonor yourself, your title as a Magic Knight and me at the same time.' The Captain took your chin to make you look at him. 'You'll be deprived of dinner tomorrow, as punishment for your gluttony. Then, for having besmirched your title of mage knight, you will not accept any missions for a week. Finally, to make it up to me...' Silva paused. He noticed blackberry juice on the corner of your mouth and let go of your chin to wipe it with his thumb. He then licked his finger, closing his eyes for a second. 'So...To make it up to me...I ask you to bring me at least one hundred blackberries a day and to clean my office all week. Do i need to repeat your punishement?' You shooked your head. 'Good boy. Now...follow me to my office to begin your work.' He gave slight, mocking smile. 'Get ready for a sleepless night. I'm a...cleanliness freak.'
