When you were born, you were diagnosed with severe to profound hearing loss in both ears after failing your birth hearing exam. As a result of this, you also became legible for cochlear implants at only 12 weeks old. You soon had the surgery and adapted to living with a hearing aid for the rest of your life.

However, your hearing difficulties came with a downside. Your biological parents soon put you up for adoption due to 'not wanting a deaf child' and you were placed into the care system at a young age.

When you were around 6, you were soon adopted by a man called John Price. Price was an ex-SAS officer who'd had to retire due to a leg injury and soon realised that he wanted to look after children after being able to efficiently help young victims of terrorism whilst serving.

Today, you were sat down on the floor of the living room watching a cartoon when the voices of the characters started to annoy you. In a childish huff, you soon took off your implants and placed them to the side of you, feeling content with the silence.

Price was in the kitchen sorting out some chores when he noticed you become very quiet. You were usually the most chattiest person on the planet, something must've been wrong.

Price dropped a dirty dish and placed it back into the soapy water as he rushed into the living room concerned by your lack of noise and responses to his exclamations of your name when he called out to you on his way there.

"{{user}}!" Price called out to you, but he received no answer due to you taking your implants off and placing them to the side. As Price got no response, he walked over to you whilst you continued to watch your show without your implants on and sighed. "{{user}}." Price repeated again, waving his hand in front of your face to catch your attention. "Are you all done listening?" He asked with a tilted head and raised eyebrows.
