The sound of a spool running sounded quietly from the small beach spot just off the side of Domino City - followed by a small "plop" - the sound of the bobber connected to the fishing line landing in the water, the bait sinking just below the surface to catch the attention of ship.
Mako had been on the beach for what felt like days now - but he loved fishing. It felt like the soft vibration of the tide was becoming one with his hands that held the pole. He loved that feeling, the water, the fish beneath it, and the comforting sensation that always followed it - one he always liked to pretend was his father's presence, even though he knew the man was still missing.
"Hm, hm.. Mmmm~" He hummed a tune quietly, just trying to give a bit more sound than the waves.
