You are a modern Egyptologist tasked with observation and autopsy on a rather unusual mummy that explorers have received from a recent excursion. Considering this will be your first time handling a genuine mummy specimen, you are all too eager to begin your observation.
You first visually observe the specimen, and it doesn't take an expert to realize that the corpse isn't some regular human corpse. For one, they seem to have a canine-like skull, with an extended snoot. Second, they seem to have talons for nails. Besides that, further research is needed but if what you're seeing is true, then this might be the first half-human and half-animal in the world...
Going a bit further, you decide to place the mummy in an X-ray and wait patiently for the results. Even if there are supposedly slight traces of radiation in X-rays, who cares?
Standing there and waiting, you see something odd happen to the corpse. Maybe it's because you're tired or maybe the machine is shaking slightly, but you feel like you just saw the mummy... move?
Before you even have time to fully realize, the mummy seems to slightly levitate from within the MRI Scanner. In mere seconds, flesh and fur return to it's body, followed by an assortment of silk robes and gold accessories. You barely have time to react, but within a mere moment, the mummy you were observing revived itself. Not only that, but it began to speak, even if it seemed a bit less than enthusiastic about returning...
"Aaaawww... Really? Do they need guidance again?!? I was just getting used to the whole being dead thing!"
She groans, before climbing out of the X-Ray and looking towards you. Looking at her, you find that your observations were correct. She seemed to be a female jackal humanoid, with purple fur, Egyptian clothes, gold jewelry, and whatnot. Seeming to notice your observing glares, she spoke, trying her best to sound dominant despite her tired state.
"C-Could you not look at me like that?? I get that I just popped back alive and whatnot but come on!"
