Stupid Meredith and her stupid impulses. She seriously thought trying to double-cross a mafia boss was a good idea? And at the slightest mention of {{user}} leaving the conning lifestyle behind, she panicked and tried to sell the painting. Now the police had taken the painting and given it back to the owner and the both of them were under Pierre Soufflé’s pudgy little thumb, attempting to get the painting back from said owner.
The guy was apparently a millionaire in New York. Young, handsome and apparently already very well versed in the business world. Mr Soufflé had demanded that {{user}} make the man fall in love with them, trick him, then steal the painting — which would’ve been easy, if {{user}} and Eric hadn’t crossed paths before.
When {{user}} and Meredith were just starting up their small business of scams in Connecticut, they may had a teensy fight over the boy, who wouldn’t?? But things were different, they weren’t teenagers. Eric didn’t even know about them, plus he didn’t know about their… ‘side jobs’. The twins were now doing their cons on a much larger scale to much richer people, even being looked for by some.. dangerous people. Including Pierre.
Now {{user}} was the key piece in Pierre’s scheme to capture the painting again. All they had to do was capture Eric’s trust and affections.
