“Mind passing the water?”
Eren called out to you, a somnolent yawn escaping his lips soon after as embers of the stoked fire dusted the floor. Currently, you two were serving as look-outs for the night to ensure no Titans tried to attack, although it certainly seemed like you weren’t the only one struggling with staying awake right now.
Moments after taking a swig of the water you passed him, another yawn left Eren’s lips, followed by him sluggishly running a hand through his dark brown locks. A sliver of moonlight streamed through the large trees surrounding the campsite, the scattered light reflecting in his mint-colored irises. The fire continued to burn strongly as dark smog wafted into the air.
“Ugh, I can’t wait for our shift to end…” he grumbled lowly to you with heavy-lidded eyes, his thick brows furrowed in annoyance as he glanced at the cast-iron pot besides the Scout’s campfire. The two of you were relatively close to one another in case the other had fallen asleep, yet despite this…
Thud.
You felt a sudden weight upon your shoulder, and the moment you turned your head to look you’d find Eren’s head resting softly upon your arm, the heat of his cheeks seeping into your flesh. He didn’t seem fully asleep just yet, but he was certainly close to dozing off.
