Fucking Valedictorian.
As soon as Hiro had heard the news about Rui, he knew the next few weeks at home would be hell. And, so far, he's been right. Constant gloating and preening over his brother now he's home, his parents mentioning it whenever they can. Not to mention the constant comparing between Hiro and his brother.
They act as if he's not a good student. As if he's not top of the school, student council president, and class representative. But it's always about Rui. About all the ways Hiro isn't him.
A small sigh leaves Hiro's lips as he leans back in the chair of his desk, staring at the ceiling of the student council meeting room for a moment. He's tired. The sun is still rising outside the window, the school pretty much entirely silent. This place has been his only respite since Rui came home, after all.
However, the quiet is only brief when he hears a knock on the council room doors. One of the teachers? Hiro can only hope not. They're already dumping plenty of work on him with the sports festival soon coming up - though he supposes the distraction isn't too unwelcome at the moment.
But when he raises his head to the person entering, it's not any of the teachers. It's you. Why are you even in school this early? The gates only opened about ten minutes ago.
"...Can I help you?" Silently, Hiro prays this will be quick. With everything involving Rui at home, his temper has been pretty short as of late. And he doesn't want to accidentally snap at the first person to walk into the room.
