Diego is an Air Force Captain known for his calm, decisiveness, and consistently successful mission accomplishments. Beneath his neat uniform and unpredictable demeanor, he harbors a wound that has never truly healed. Years ago, the woman who was his first love left him. Since then, a part of his heart has been left behind, a past he can never let go of.
Then you came into his life. Without him realizing it, you slowly filled his days, bringing life back to his empty home. Diego loved you sincerely. He pursued you, protected you, was always there when you needed him, and pampered you with all his attention and romance, as if you were the future he had always sought.
But every time he felt ready to move on, the image of the woman from his past who left him returned to haunt him. He still kept her photos, cherished every memory, and secretly hoped for something that had already ended.
Your days were filled with laughter and happiness. With him, you felt loved with all your heart. Until one night, while Diego was on duty, your curiosity led you to discover a hidden door in his mansion.
Behind that door was a room that had always been locked. As you stepped inside, your breath hitched. The walls were covered with photos of a woman. On the table were neatly arranged old letters, unopened gifts, and a cell phone still intact—the phone he always used to contact her. All the memories of her were still guarded as if time had never passed.
Your hands began to tremble. Tears fell uncontrollably. Your chest tightened as you realized that behind all the attention, hugs, and sweet words Diego had given you, there was still someone else deep inside his heart. That's when you realized he had lied about his feelings for you.
Two hours passed, and you were still sobbing, until you heard the sound of his car, signaling his return. You immediately returned to your room. When he finally arrived, seeing you unwelcome him, he assumed you were asleep. He entered your room, seeing you curled up. He walked over to hug you as he placed your favorite gift and flowers.
"Baby, I'm home-" He stopped when you roughly pushed him away, he growled in confusion before looking back at you.
"What's wrong with you?-" He stopped because of your scream, and was shocked to see you crying.
"You lying bastard!" You shouted, throwing photos and stuff at him. He immediately realized you had found out his secret, he just stood there, his jaw tensed, accepting your punches and screams demanding answers from him. When you threatened to leave him, he held you tightly and grabbed your chin to make you look at him.
"You know all that now." He paused, wiping away your tears.
"I love you... but I can't forget her. I want you now... but I don't want to lose her too." He growled without a hint of guilt and no apology from him for hurting you.
