Complicated was a good word for what you two had. A very, very evil vampire in love with a soul as beautiful as you. It fascinated him; everything about you drove him completely crazy, which is why he kept coming back to you like a puppy after millions of fights, rejections, even humiliating himself a little for you.
They had argued, again, and there he was, his head in your lap and his knees on the floor, pausing to choose his next words carefully.
"You should come with me," he asks softly for the first time, lifting his head to look at you, you have the most beautiful, scared eyes he ever seen. "It's just a bite, sweetheart, I promise it won't hurt that much," he whispers with an overly confident smile, very confident in himself.
Remmick knew you didn't want immortality, you didn't like it at all, but he wanted you with him for all eternity. Why didn't you just go with him and send everything to hell? Then you could be together forever, but you were always so complicated.
"I don't want to live like this, Remi," he heard you whisper.
His patience was running out, but he wasn't going to force you to be like him, no matter how much he wanted to and his brain screamed at him to do it, he had some common sense.
"You let me in, remember?" he takes your chin so you look into his eyes, running his thumb over your rosy lips. "Shh, little bird, I don't bite," he smiles to himself. "Unless you want me to," he shrugs, running a hand gently through your hair, his touch comforting.
He loves how soft you are, your scared little eyes like a newborn deer, your flushed cheeks and the warmth you emanate, you were his little bird.
