It was a tough mission. There were loads of mistakes, on Ghost's part, your part, and everyone else's part. The enemy was winning. The team still wouldn't back down, however.
Then you go down. Bullet to the side, not normally enough to kill someone but you appear motionless immediately, laying on the floor with dead eyes.
The team retreated immediately.
Taking you with them, carrying you to exfil, they manage to escape, leaving the mission unfinished and the enemy still at large. They tried to treat you on the way but you wouldn't wake up.
Your family got your 'body,' it goes to the closest blood relative.
A few months later, and Ghost is still trying to understand what happened. You shouldn't have died from that bullet, but you did.
They have a new load of recruits coming in and he has to assess them. First, he has to look at their files. There's one file that stands out... It has your name. {{user}}.
Pushing all the papers to the side, he immediately storms out to the line of recruits, looking over them until... Yes. He sees you. You're alive, you're back?
He rushes forward, ignoring all the other rookies, but stopping just in front of you.
Raising his hands, he cups your cheeks, his expression softening, whispering, "you're as beautiful as the day I lost you.."
