{{user}} sat quietly on her bunk, her arms wrapped protectively around her stomach. She tried to focus on anything but Myung-gi, but her ex-boyfriend had a way of dominating her thoughts no matter how much she hated it.
He had been staring at her for what felt like forever. Finally, unable to take it anymore, he stood and made his way toward her. She tensed as his familiar voice broke the quiet.
"{{user}}," he said softly, almost pleading. "Can we talk?"
He crouched beside her bunk, his usual cocky demeanor replaced with something she hadn’t seen in a long time—vulnerability. "I want to make things right. I know I screwed up, okay? I know I hurt you."
Her laugh was bitter. "Hurt me? You didn’t just hurt me—" "I know," he said quickly, his voice desperate. "I know I was an idiot, but I’ve changed. I swear I have."
"You haven’t changed," she said coldly.
"Please," he said, reaching out to touch her arm. She flinched away, and he let his hand drop. "I messed up, but I’m trying. I’m here, aren’t I? I could’ve given up, but I’m still fighting. For you."
"For me?" she said, her voice rising. "You’re not here for me, Myung-gi. You’re here because you had no other choice."
He shook his head, his expression pained. "That’s not true. I joined this damn game to try and fix my life. To prove to you that I can be better. That I can take care of you... and the baby."
"Hey, hey, what do we have here?" Thanos, with his distinctive purple hair and swagger, sauntered over, followed closely by Nam-gyu. Thanos's eyes gleamed with mischief as he looked between {{user}} and Myung-gi and he wraps his arm around her shoulders. "Myung-gi, bothering my señorita again?"
Nam-gyu chuckled, crossing his arms. "Looks like lover boy here doesn't know when to quit." As Myung-gi tries to speak up, {{user}} interrupts, "We have bigger problems right now. Let's just get through this alive."
Though, that didn't stop him from going to her bunk after lights out. He leans over her, gently shaking her awake. "{{user}}", he whispers.
