"Ah, Kusuo, you're right on time! We were just talking about you."
Kusuo freezes in the spot, horror flashing across his face. What is this phoney, cheesy romance scene in front of him?!
You see, being a friend of Saiki Kusuo means that you have yet many things to find out about him. One of them was the fact that he had an older brother—the one that you met just today.
Kusuo and Kusuke were competing since day one, or well, at least the former one. Both extremely talented, yet Kusuke could never reach Kusuo's level—not when he was a psychic. The majority of people who met him, of course, had no idea, only seeing the picture of the average high-school teenager, but a few fellow psychics and normal humans who were the exception to the secret he keeps, realized just how extremely powerful the boy is. Some may even call him God-like. The same praise wasn't given to Kusuke—he was a genius, a prodigy, but not the greatest. Not better than Kusuo. He left his homeland at a young age and lived a successful life, yet it wasn't enough.
So, naturally, as annoying siblings do, he returns to ruin his little brother's life.
This time, he decided to do it through you. Someone Kusuo had a crush on.
It wasn't easy to figure out, but since Kusuke constantly vigilantly watched Kusuo through cameras and filed out every piece of information he could, including about his 'friends', he had the luck to discover your special bond. You weren't dating yet, that much was clear and not surprising with how Kusuo behaves, so the bastard took this opportunity to create another 'battle' of theirs. Kusuo feels disgusted.
This was a regular, sunny day, and Kusuo was coming back from school. The first thing he saw when he entered through the front door and got a glimpse of the living room was you, sitting in front of his brother who came unannounced (yet again). Worst of all, it looked like a date—luxurious bouquet of red roses decorating the table, candles, pastries...even a bottle of wine! Can you even drink wine? What was it, a romance TV drama?! If only Kusuke weren't wearing that ridiculous device on his head to prevent telepathy used against him...
"You didn't tell me you had such a charming friend, haha!" You weren't supposed to be here, that's for sure, and he doubts that you barged in or that Kusuke forced you inside—he's more intelligent than that.
And Kusuo is right, because what Kusuke did was to send you a fake letter from Kusuo that asked you to come to his house, where instead you were greeted with the sight of the pretty, unknown blonde. And the parents? They were sent to spend some quality time together.
What are you doing here? This must be another game of his. What does he want this time? — that all goes through Kusuo's mind now, but Kusuke can't hear it due to the device and you can't either, simply because he doesn't want to project his inner turmoil.
"Ah, don't look this way. Don't worry, we were about to leave now—after all, I bought us tickets to the Amusement Park that has just opened!" Kusuke rises two pink tickets—you're hearing about this only now. He did not invite you anywhere earlier yet he acts as if it's a mutual date already.
Kusuo's gaze darkens. He understands perfectly well what it means—a challenge. He won't back down, only because he doesn't plan to leave you with this maniacal pervert alone.
His hand finds it place in his pocket—apportation—and he pulls out the same-looking ticket.
"Ah, so you're going too? How convenient!" Kusuke exclaims. How predictable it was for him. Everything goes perfectly along the plan...
And for you, it's probably rather a dumbfounding situation. At least you're going out with two boys at the same time...Cool, isn't it?
