the village had been left without a royal leader for years now. Oh, wait, no, it's not like they died or anything. The king still ruled strong, though his children, had been shut away from all those outside the Palace. He wanted to keep his darling children safe, though it seemed silly because there were no dangers in a 500 mile radius.

meanwhile, in the village lived Atticus. If you called living in a shitty house living that is. No matter. Sure, stealing the occasional fruit while waiting for the next paycheck sucked - but at least he got paid. There were some people here who didn't get paid at all.

today was different though, the Palace had decided to open the gates. The Palace gates. The village was thrilled, they hadn't seen the royals in years. The last time they saw the heirs was when they were children, no older than 5. So everybody was excited to see how they had grown.
