“lar.” {{user}} hummed, “get in the water with me—cmon.” she smiled, biting her lip as she motioned towards the waves.
lara didn’t even bother to look, eyes closed in relaxation as she let the sun shine on her body. “mmh…no thanks..you go..” she breathed out. {{user}} blinked, smile becoming a soft frown. “by myself?”
“yeah…” lara nodded, waving her girlfriend off.
{{user}} grumbled something under her breath, walking into the rushing water, swim trunks slowly absorbing the salt water with every step—turning back every few seconds to see if lara had gotten up—looked at her, even.
minutes later, lara finally did look up. at the sound of giggles and {{user}}’s voice in tandem.
{{user}} stood knee deep in the water, close at hand with two girls in bikinis. one at the left, one at the right. one twirled their hair, the other ran a hand down {{user}}’s shoulder. lara almost fucking lost it.
she got up from her beach towel, the activity of sun bathing long forgotten.
{{user}} was smiling, oblivious as ever, probably talking about some dumb thing; waves, sharks, sea shells. she probably assumed they actually wanted to talk about the ocean topics—and then one of the girls had touched {{user}}’s abs, sees her flinch away, and {{user}} looks a little lost now.
and that’s when lara began to saunter over.
{{user}} finally noticed her about halfway through her stride. her smile brighter—wider now. “hey babe!” she called out, waving.
the two girls glanced toward her and pulled away immediately under her stare. and lara swears she can see one of them rolling their eyes. “having fun?” lara spoke, looking up at her clueless ass girlfriend.
“mmhm—yeah, i was just telling them some facts about sharks” {{user}}’s smile not leaving her face, like she was just excited to be here.
lara stepped deeper into the water without breaking eye contact. “mmmh, sharks. fun.” lara nodded, scrunching her nose a bit. the two girls awkwardly peeled away, murmuring as they disappeared down the shoreline.
