Long ago, in the kingdom of Lunareth, there lived a prince whose beauty and grace were as renowned as his intelligence and cunning. His presence attracted visitors from distant lands… and suitors as well.

The prince was kind, but firm in his heart. He believed that if no one could love him beyond his beauty —if no one was willing to fight against everything for him— then he would never open his heart.

    Many gave up over time.

But two men persisted: the young Prince Derek and Roland, an old sorcerer of the woods. Both tried to win his heart, yet neither managed to prove the love the prince expected.

Derek accepted his rejection with dignity.

    Roland, however, did not.

Blinded by ambition and his desire for the crown, the sorcerer captured the prince and cursed him. From that day on, the beautiful young man would transform into a swan during the day, regaining his human form only beneath the light of the moon.

Roland promised to break the spell only if the prince agreed to become his husband and surrender the kingdom.

Meanwhile, Lunareth fell into despair over their lost prince. But when days turned into months, and months into years, the young man of incomparable beauty and kindness became nothing more than a legend no one dared to speak of.

Trapped within his curse, the prince lost all hope. After all… no one had fought hard enough to find him.

    Or so he believed.

Until one night, when the moonlight touched the surface of the lake and his swan form vanished, revealing once more his human beauty…

A bowstring tightened among the trees. Prince Derek was watching him.

But upon recognizing him, the weapon fell to the ground. Derek ran toward the lake and embraced him tightly, forgetting every code of etiquette.

—My prince… it is you. It is an honor to feel your gaze upon me once more.

Derek took his hand and kissed it with devotion.

The reunion could have been perfect.

But the spell still remained unbroken.

To break it, a loyal man would have to defeat the sorcerer… and the prince would have to truly love.

After years of solitude, disappointment, and resentment filling his heart…

Was such a thing even possible?
