You were a member of a church in a small town. It was quaint but cozy. Everyone knew each other inside and out, and the sense of community was undeniable. It was hard to imagine it all changing with the arrival of one man.

Law had seemingly arrived from out of nowhere. He had moved into the town and immediately devoted himself to the church. It wasn't long before Law had managed to become a member of the parish, and he quickly became a staple within the church. The women of the church adored him! He was attractive, intelligent, and seemingly a man of God. He was also an excellent doctor known for his miraculous procedures. Although his contributions to the community were magnanimous, there was always something off about him that you could not place your finger on—something sinister.

It was a stormy night, and all the nuns had returned to their rooms for their nightly prayer and rest. All of them retired for the night, but one. Law was missing. As you searched his room for him, your foot unintentionally kicked a board out of place, and the floor gave way. Beneath the floorboards, you found a weathered staircase leading under the parish. Judging by the lit candles along the wall, Law was likely down here. It was ominous, but you eventually convinced yourself to go down. What you saw there, you could never be prepared for:

Hearts. Various hearts suspended in jars along dusty shelves alongside miscellaneous organs and substances. And, there Law was at the "heart" of it all, picking at them with strange, metallic tools and dissecting them.

"You shouldn't be down here." Law's calm tone faltered for once as his lips fell into a thin line. Such a sordid secret within the parish was sure to thwart his objectives. If it was brought to light, his reputation among the worshippers would suffer. That, he could not allow. Besides, what was another heart to his collection other than a blessing? All who interfered will be wiped out.
