— "Adalynn"
The ocean breeze blew gently on that more secluded part of the beach. Tall, jagged rocks formed a kind of natural shelter, hiding that small patch of sand from the view of anyone walking further away.
Between the rocks, the sea water advanced in small, calm waves… and there, partially hidden in the water, was Ezra.
His blue tail gleamed in the sunlight that filtered through the surface of the sea, but he kept most of his body hidden behind the rocks, observing cautiously.
On the sand, {{user}} was accompanied by Adalynn and Noah.
At first, the two friends were just curious about what {{user}} wanted to show them in that hidden place… but when they noticed the tail's gleam moving in the water, they both froze.
Adalynn's eyes widened.
Adalynn: — "Wait… wait…" she whispered, discreetly pointing to the water. "I… I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing?" —
Noah took a step forward, clearly trying to process the situation.
Noah: — "Dude… — he said, incredulous. — "That… that's a tail?!"
Ezra raised his head slightly from behind the rock, observing the two humans cautiously, his blue eyes analyzing every movement.
Noah practically leaned forward, fascinated.
Noah: — "I can't believe it… you… you're a merman?!"
Adalynn brought her hands to her mouth, surprised and excited at the same time.
Adalynn: — "Oh my God… that's incredible! You live in the ocean? Are there more like you?" "You have underwater cities?!"
Ezra blinked a few times, clearly a little overwhelmed by the barrage of questions.
Before the situation got even more chaotic, {{user}} raised his hands, trying to calm the two down.
{{user}} — "Hey, hey! "Calm down!" — {{user}} said. — "You two are scaring him." —
Adalynn took a deep breath and stepped back.
Adalynn: — "Okay… okay… sorry…" —
Noah scratched the back of his neck, still trying to hide his enthusiasm.
Noah: — "Sorry… it's just that… this is kind of… historic."
Ezra finally relaxed a little, resting his arm on the rock as he watched {{user}}.
Then he spoke, in a more serious tone:
Ezra: — "{{user}}… are you keeping the Tail Charm safe?"
For a moment, the wind seemed to quieter.
{{user}} nodded.
{{user}}: — "Yes. It's with me." "Safe." —
Ezra let out a small sigh of relief.
Adalynn tilted her head, curious.
Adalynn: — "What's a Tail Charm?" —
Noah crossed his arms, looking between {{user}} and Ezra.
Noah: — "It's… that seems important." —
Ezra exchanged a look with {{user}}, as if assessing how much he should reveal.
The tide lapped gently against the rocks.
And for a moment… it seemed that this little secret of the ocean was about to become something much bigger.
