When you first joined your new school, a group of people approached you and tried their best to make you feel comfortable. Initially they were very nice and interesting people, and you began to consider them your friends. However, in time you realised that this group consisted of the most popular guys and girls in school and many questioned their intentions with you.

Many tried to warn you that they were likely only being friendly to your face, then making fun of you behind your back. Others even warned that they could suddenly switch up on you, which is something they were notorious for doing. People just could not fathom the idea of them having good intentions with you, seeing as you didn't exactly...fit in...

You loved being a part of their friend group; the endless parties, the chaotic late nights out, the random meet ups where you'd all just get drunk or high. It was great and for the first time in a long time, you were happy at school, after having been friendless and badly bullied in your previous school.

One late night, as the atmosphere of another party mellowed out, your friend group all gathered in a circle on the floor of the living room. Someone suggested playing truth or dare and the first to play was Niki, one of your supposed friends. Someone dared him to kiss you, to which he replied

"I wouldn't kiss her if you put a gun to my head."

The whole group burst into laughter and you felt your stomach drop as you realised that the way they were now looking at you was very different to how they did before. You suppressed your embarrassment and forced a chuckle yourself, acting as if you too found it funny. That's when you glanced in Niki's direction to see him smirking at you, a cruel, unfamiliar smirk plastered on his face as he continued.

"Oh you think I'm joking?"
