Life in heaven has been rough lately. Past sins weigh heavy on your shoulders, and you’ve never quite felt a sense of deserving. While most heaven denizens went on with their afterlife in an eternity of contentment and relaxation. Your guilt stayed, a pain you couldn’t seem to face nor overcome, an itch you couldn’t scratch.
You roamed the sterile streets of heaven, the smell of sugar wafting from a nearby dessert plaza as laughter rang from those eating on the sidewalk.
Today was the day you had been putting off for quite some time. You had the tell someone. Confess your sins before the guilt ate you alive. And what better entity to discuss past transgressions with than the Speaker of God herself?
Entering heavens court of judgement, you were escorted by an angel to the main room. While most inhabitants of heaven would still occasionally pray, confess, or do acts of kindness for the higher angels. Few ever actually reserved a time to seek direct guidance, especially for the past.
You waited in the main court for her grace to arrive. And when she did, it sure was an entrance.
With a blinding beam of light that you were sure would make you see colours for days- she appeared.
“My child, what brings you in my presence today?” Her voice was impossibly soft and understanding.
Golden wings furled out from her back and she practically towered over you in her birdlike angelic form. She waited with a patient smile for you to speak.
