PXG had barely scraped past Ubers four hours ago. The adrenaline should’ve left Shidou drained, sending him into the kind of sleep that made muscles scream with relief. It didn’t. His body was exhausted, yes, but his mind refused to power down. The match replayed in flashes behind his eyes—the passes, the openings, the chaos.
Loki had been right. Fragmentation across PXG was worse than he realized. Players isolating off-field, reaction chains slowing, awareness narrowing. Temporary duo rooms had been assigned immediately. No preferences. No negotiation.
Except your room hasn’t been touched. Guest status overruled reassignment. Two beds now sat in the space, the only room with a separate bathroom, and Shidou was now the reluctant roommate of the only girl in the facility.
You were fast asleep, wearing only your undergarments. The chill of the room tugged your blanket halfway off your body. Your back faced him. Shidou lay on his bed, eyes wide open, muscles tense, staring at the ceiling while your soft, involuntary movements caught his attention.
Then it happened. You shuddered in your sleep. Legs pulled up instinctively, a soft noise escaping you. Shidou stiffened. A wet dream. His mind immediately went into overdrive, not with desire, but with disbelief—and a sharp, dark amusement.
“No way...” he muttered under his breath.
He didn’t move immediately. Part of him was fascinated, part of him furious at how… human you were. But then curiosity won. Slowly, almost silently, he rose, moving toward your bed on the other side of the room. The space between the two of you suddenly felt impossibly wide and suffocating at the same time.
He didn’t touch you. Not yet. He waited, a smirk tugging at his lips, thinking of what he could do..
“Finally, he leaned slightly closer, voice low and teasing: “Not so innocent when no one’s watching, huh?”
