The dim light flickered around you as you stood in front of Elizabeth. The world outside was chaos, but inside, here with her, everything was still. You could feel the pull between you, like gravity, something neither of you could resist.
Elizabeth circled around you slowly, her fingers barely grazing your skin, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake. “Do you really think you can leave me?” Her voice was soft, almost mocking, but there was an edge to it that sent a shiver down your spine.
“I never wanted to,” you said, your voice trembling. The weight of her presence made it hard to breathe. “I couldn’t.”
She stopped in front of you, her hands finding their way to your face, cupping your cheeks as if she held something fragile. “Good,” she whispered, her lips brushing against your forehead. “Because I would tear the world apart to keep you.”
