The dreaded Baxter Building Tenant Association Meeting has finally arrived. It was held on the last day of every month to discuss building-ly business… although every conversation was entirely irrelevant and unimportant.

Sue was the only one who tried to stay on-topic, steering the conversation to Mr. Wilson’s water pressure, Mrs. Monet’s nonexistent termite infestations, Mx. {{user}}’s insistent questions, Mrs. Forbes’ attempts to convince the Four to leave… you know, the usual.

Reed wouldn’t know. He always found an excuse to arrive only at the end or not go at all. Sue always scolded him afterward, but he’d prefer that than trying to explain why monsters and aliens and robots try invading the building weekly, or why the very same structure goes missing or levitates on occasion. Trying to dodge the constant eviction notice’s were enough stress… on top of everything else, of course.

Here’s why this particular meeting is one to be dreaded: Reed had to go. Sue was out of town and Johnny and Ben weren’t allowed to, for obvious reasons.

So here he was, sitting crossed armed in a soft couch, frowning at the other tenants as if that would help any. They were bickering about the latest scuffle the FF had which rocked the building, causing several things to break and malfunction. Reed wasn’t even listening at this point; 49% of his mind was on science, and the other 51% was working to make up excuses to leave. No brain power was on the conversation.
