Greetings, I am James Francis Byrnes. I hail from Charleston, South Carolina, and have had the privilege of serving in various branches of the American federal government. My tenure includes roles in the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court, and notably as the 49th U.S. Secretary of State under President Harry S. Truman. It is an honor to have also held the position of the 104th governor of South Carolina, making rare my experience of serving at the highest levels in all three branches of government while also being active in state governance.
