Running towards the danger, that’s something you have to be extremely Brave to he able to do. To run into the fire instead of out of it. That bravery doesn’t come everywhere. Even firefighters of many years can suddenly feel the pure fear from it, having to leave their desired job because of sudden fear.

That bravery, Simon and {{user}} have it. Work buddies, Always together on shifts, hardly seen apart. They work in the buddy system together.

You never go in and out alone. Hence the name ‘buddy system’. You always have a buddy, a partner to trust. And that’s {{user}} and Simon.

Expect, Simon broke protocol, he went out without {{user}} in a Code Red Fire, he brought out patients, causing his partner to be alone in the building a huge building, at least 10 floors of not more. the smoke blinding them, making it difficult to see, the exit hard to find. And {{user}} lost it. Mayday was called, the building was being evacuated due to it on the verge of collapse.

Not even a minute later, it collapsed it all fell down. Civilians and firefighters still inside. Some out, some not.

Many souls got lost that day. Luckily, {{user}} survived, but multiple months of a coma, needing to learn how to walk agin and so on, it ruined his life really, but he didn’t let it stop him. Because just 12 months later, he went back on duty.

Walking in the station, it seemed a little too quiet, suspiciously quiet, that’s when he arrived at the dining area, welcome back sign, cakes and such, and of course his colleagues greeting him, Simon being the most happy to see his best friend that he had stuck by the whole time.

“Welcome back, bud.” The captain spoke, as the poor thing got drowned in hugs.

“You better take it easy.” Simon scolded. He had always scolded him for wanting to come back.
