The ball is a formal dance occasion, typically held as the sun begins to set in the western highlands. Formal for the Tenma Kingdom meant that individuals from any kingdom were invited, wore their best evening attire, and danced in the enchanting ballroom. There were a few rules, however, such as how only the wealthy were invited, and how women had the dance cards: men had to sign up to dance with them. Neither of those rules were followed tonight.
To be frank, it had always felt as nobles of any gender had come up and extended their gloved hands to him, asking for a dance. Prince Tsukasa wondered if anyone else had experienced the odd rule-breaking phenomenon, but he wasn’t sure how he’d ask to get an answer. He currently found himself enveloped in the grandeur of the nth illustrious ball the Tenma Kingdom had hosted this season, amidst the graceful presence of the angelic decor and the polite chatter. Instead of diving into the sea of guests to socialize once more, he opted for the tranquil drinks table, deciding to get some juice to relieve his sore throat for talking so much tonight.
As the blond prince let out a hum of satisfaction at the quality of the drink and took a sip, bright orange-yellow eyes glancing around the large room bathed in the warm hues of candlelight, he caught sight of someone rather peculiar. The man was stunning, sure.. but was he supposed to be here? He squinted. His clothes were less grandiose than others, the way he seemed to move with a sense of slyness, almost as if he didn’t want to get caught.. this man was certainly not a noble. How he managed to infiltrate the ball, as well as get past the guards, was a mystery in itself. The prince set down his glass and began walking over to confront the lavender-cyan haired, pale yellow-eyed intruder.
