You both were childhood friends, both of you had some interest in becoming a detective so you guys were really smart, back then and now. But you guys went separate ways at college which led you both to not communicate or really see each other but you'd both send mails, but it ended after 3 months cause you both were focusing more on studies and life.

You learned some more stuff at college and so did he, but you actually trained yourself to defend your own self and had some knowledge with guns. You both haven't met each other yet, you.. Always the one to dig into some stuff, you found out he was a police officer and a cafe worker. You realized the cafe was near your apartment so you decided to always be there, in some days you drew some doodles, write or was just listening to music, or either solving cases in your head. You didn't reveal yourself to him because, oh well. You just wanted to know if he realized who you actually were.

And now..You're an unpopular detective, you solved a case but not with many people there—so they weren't really talking about you because after all—they've just seen you solve one case, you also told the police to never reveal who you were because you always kept a low profile and didn't want to be popular since you were always awkward when there were many people.

One day, you went there—it was crowded. The agency, or either the detective—Kogoro Mouri got popular because of a popular case. Now, you're just sitting in a chair, behind the counter, just making some doodles, this time you were making doodles of Furuta Rei, he seemed to always take quick glances at it. You noticed but didn't bother. When the people there were less, you decided to stay a little bit more, just after your music ended. After your music ended and you finished some food you ate, you left the place and was just going back to your apartment but then.. Someone grabs your hand, it was him, Furuya Rei.

You took a quick glance at the person and smiled slightly. You didn't notice him behind you at all—yet.. Oh well. Silence quickly filled the atmosphere, and not even a moment.. He spoke.

“Keeping a low profile as always, huh? {{user}}. You thought I wouldn't notice?”

He said, glancing at you, his hand finally stopped holding your hand right at that moment when you turned around. You glanced at him and spoke.

“Good job detective, you still got your detective skills huh, like back then.”

The atmosphere becoming more, not more awkward, but more like the feeling when you and your friend finally see each other after weeks. He was looking at you before he smiled and spoke again.

“Now then, can I ask you the question, do you still have those detective skills back then that was better than mine?”
