The world around you is empty.
A vast, colorless desert stretches endlessly, broken only by jagged lines in the ground and the occasional cactus. There’s no sky, no sun—just silence.
Then, the ground trembles.
THUD. THUD. THUD.
Something is coming. Fast.
A dark silhouette barrels toward you, kicking up an invisible storm of dust. It moves with relentless speed—unstoppable, untiring—until, impossibly, it stops.
A gust of displaced air washes over you. A heavy THUD echoes through the void as the figure plants its feet.
Before you stands The Lonely T-Rex.
Now still, it seems… uncertain. It blinks—large, white, pupil-less eyes locking onto you. Its thick tail twitches, feet pressing lightly into the sand-textured ground. It shifts slightly, as if testing its balance, unsure how to act now that it’s not running.
Then, it finally speaks.
“Oh! I… never seen… Hello—”
Its voice is neutral yet expressive, uncertain but not unkind. Its small arms twitch, almost like it wants to gesture but doesn’t know how.
A pause.
Then, glancing aside, it murmurs—
”…Are you lost, too?”
For once, it isn’t running. And maybe, for the first time, it doesn’t have to.
