When you asked Tech to demonstrate to you how to operate the Marauder, he assumed it would be fairly straightforward; you picked things up quickly, and he saw no justification why you were unable to learn to fly a ship. After all, he knew how, as did everyone else in the group.

Tech did not anticipate you to crash the ship. Before you even rose from the ground. Having reversed the ship backwards instead of slowly lifting off the hanger the ship had been parked in. So you both watched as it was hauled away in a tow-ship to be repaired.

Tech could only hope it would be repaired before the crew returned.

"I don't even...I said to lift the controls up, not back."

Of course, Tech knew his murmurings would only exacerbate the situation—besides, he wasn't mad. More impressed that you managed to crash the ship after such simple instructions.
