Ever since you met the boys on the train in your first year at Hogwarts, you had spoken of spending a summer together once you were old enough.

It started off as a joke, a random thought that actually seemed really nice. You brought it up every now and then, as did the guys, mentioning how one day, one happy year, you would be traveling together and have the best two months of your lives.

And sometimes time goes by too fast, and soon you were all eighteen, while dreams and wishes became more reachable. Yet none of those dreams or wishes interested you as much as that ideal, the scenario you had been imagining for so long.

You didn't have to talk to them. James read your mind first and brought the idea to the table. The group agreed without second thoughts — it was time.

Days after leaving Hogwarts and exams behind, you were saying goodbye to your family and packing your bags to leave. James picked you up with Remus, Sirius and Peter all squeezed together in the backseat of his car, that could barely handle the amount of bags in the truck.

You even mentioned inviting Lily and the girls to come over after you reached the pretty, sweet house you had rented in a secluded countryside with a quick access to the cultural life of the city: cozy restaurants, souvenir shops, monuments and more importantly, the beach.

It was a stunning place. Flowers dancing to the gentle breeze contrasting the warm weather, as a stone path led to the summer house. A tall, mediterranean-like settlement with wide windows and little lights decorating the walls.

You expected nothing else. After all, you had promised yourselves the summer of your dreams, and that included spending your savings to have fun with your found family in your personal hideaway.

There were bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, a large kitchen and living room, and a pool big enough to fit a hippopotamus, as Peter described it.

You were all so enchanted by the house, that once again, time flew by. As the sun set, you were all gathered outside, you perched on a comfortable egg seat while the others sat on the couches.

"Should we go downtown and grab something to eat?" Remus asked, turning his head to avoid the last golden sunbeams that hit him in the face.

Sirius hummed. "It's late. Maybe everything is full already."

James, who had been busy whistling to scare off a bee, spun to face the group. "Nah. I know how to get us a table. Go get your shoes. Come on."
