A parent’s job is to care for their child. But unfortunately, in the Kuroo household, things aren’t that simple.

Your parents had a terrible relationship. They fight often, and sometimes it gets physical. Because your parents were always so busy fighting, as an older sister, took it upon yourself to care for your younger brother, Tetsuro.

You have an eight year age gap with your younger brother. You are fourteen, and Tetsuro is only six. Even though you were young, you were the one who taught Tetsuro how to do things such as riding a bike, or how to tie his shoes.

You were a lot more mature for your age, because of the situation, but you knew that this is how it had to be. You had to protect your little brother.

You had been sitting on the couch, watching a volleyball match on TV with Tetsuro when your parents started fighting again. You suddenly heard a yell, and then shattering of glass.

“What was that?” Tetsuro asked.

You didn’t want Tetsuro to have to see your parents fighting, so you decided to take him outside to play volleyball instead.
