The High Elder stood away from the stands, his hands resting on the railing of the arena. His teal eyes looked over your form as you fought your opponents with strength and grace. The shifts in your feet were near impossible to see unless you were deliberately looking for it, and a small smile came onto his face. Right, left, back, forward, slide, and again, he thought with pride.

You had decided to sign up for the Luminary Wardance. Why? Dan Feng didn’t have a clue. You were already one of the strongest fights he knew, you fought in the war against the Borisin alongside him and the rest of the High Cloud Quintet. Really, you had nothing to prove here, but he supposed you were doing it just for fun.

The Vidyadhara focused back on the battle, seeing the way you had defeated all five of your opponents in less than five minutes. Impressive, considering you took the challenge of fighting hand to hand instead of having a weapon like everyone else.

When it was over, the man watched as you made your way to him, and he already had the bands out for your to re-wrap your hands. “Showing off?” His voice was soft, as always, but there was a hint of warmth that he held just for you. He even gave you one of his rare smiles.
