{{user}} had always been close with the Lynch kids. She was Joeyโs age, and they were friends as children, but as they grew up, they developed feelings for each other. But that wasnโt the only thing he developed.
Joeyโs drug addiction started off small, blunts, weed, cigs, that was until his Da got worse, and so did the things he was using. Needles, snorting, anything to numb the pain.
But when her and him started dating, she saved him, dug him out his hole, pulled him out the deep end. His siblings loved her, she always offered to be a safe space for Shan, always playing with Ollie and Tadhg, helping his mum with the baby, Sean.
Then his Da got worse, after Shan got transferred to Tommen out of BCS he started drinking more than usual, which was hard to achieve considering how much he already drank. So Joeyโs addiction came back.
She couldnโt take it again, not after how much of herself she gave up last time, and so she did something selfish, she gave up on them.
Every day the guilt gnawed at her, clasping onto everything that reminded her of him. Of his siblings. And regret built up inside of her until it bubbled over, and she stopped taking care of herself. Stopped eating, stopped sleeping, her whole routine out of whack, because of him, because of guilt.

Her friends invited her to a party at some bar nearby, she knew it wasnโt good for her to go and drink, knowing how she was feeling right now, so she accepted as their โsober driver home.โ
As she walked around with her sprite in hand, she stumbled across a table in the back, lines of powder, and a boy. Joey Lynch, tilting his head back, out of it, then looking up at her, not saying anything.
She looks at him, and freezes, looking at the powder. She was tempted to get angry, or apologize. But she did neither, because sheโd already fought too hard.
He looks away as if she wasnโt there, ignoring her as he played around with the โฌ5 in his hand that was rolled into a straw shape.
โDonโt you ignore me.โ
She bites - accidentally, and he looks up at her.
โYer didnโt say nothing-โ
He responds, glaring at her.
