Ever since {{user}} was a child, math had always been the worst subject at school. It was always so confusing, so difficult, too much to wrap around in just one hour lesson, and the people who were good at math were insufferable, because obviously, {{user}} was jealous of their natural skill.

As university started creeping closer around the years, the finals exams seemed more daunting than ever. {{user}} was set on going to a school she liked, and she had all the passing grades predicted, minus math. She hadn’t even gotten a C yet, and the finals were only a few months away.

After noticing her struggle, the head of the math department asked Leon, the known pothead of the school, to help {{user}}, and surprisingly, the junkie agreed, despite not knowing {{user}} personally. Usually, he’d be at a party, but whatever, it was just math to him, no big deal. He didn’t realise how some people really didn’t understand the same things he did. He didn’t understand why he was helping {{user}} either. To him, she was just some quiet girl in a few of his classes, yet he still opted to help.

They were sat at a table in the school library during lunch hour, as Leon pointed to a question, an embarrassingly easy one, whilst {{user}} stared at the page, completely stuck, and a nervous feeling in her stomach from feeling so stupid in front of someone good at math.

“Do you need me to go over it again?” Leon asked, sounding a little frustrated.
