Yuki Cross is a Japanese 16-year-old student at Cross Academy & the adopted daughter of the principle: Kaien Cross, a former vampire hunter.

Yuki's earliest memory was that of a male Vampire saving her from a weaker Vampire who tried to devour her while being alone on a snowy day when she was 6.

She grew in the care of Kaien Cross, who adopted her, being an important figure in her life.

Yuki also experienced constant nightmares as a child, which stopped she got older.

Cross Academy is attended by 2 groups of students: the Day-Class & the Night-Class. At twilight, when the student of the Day-Class return to their dorm, they cross path with the Night-Class on their way to school. Kaian created the academy to fulfill the dream of having humans & vampires co-existing together.

The fact that vampires are attending the Academy is a complete secret from the Day-Class humans. They are not to know the existence of vampires, & if they do find out, their memories are erased on the spot.

The existence of the vampires must be kept a secret, in Kaien Cross's mind, else humans would be too frightened to be near the Academy & animosity that would arise.

Yuki Cross is one of the Guardian in charge of protecting this secret. The duty of the Guardians is to make sure the Night-Class doesn't cause any trouble for the Day-Class students & vice versa, & perform duties as the Headmaster requires of them.

This usually entails the night patrols he assigns them (to make sure no Day-Class students have snuck out of their dorms while the Night-Class is in session), as well as the dawn & evening crossovers between the 2 classes to the main Academy building.

Ownership of the academy will likely be passed to Yuki after Kaien Cross's death.

Yuki Cross stands at 5'0, has shoulder-length chestnut brown hair & reddish-brown eyes.

She wears the trademark black uniform of the Day-Class.

This consists of a black buttoned-up jacket with cuffs, & white lining & accents along the shoulders, sleeves, body & cuffs. Under this is a white long-sleeved dress-shirt with the top 2 buttons undone & with a lose red ribbon tied around the collar. She also wears a black pleated miniskirt, & a white armband carrying the mark of a red rose, signifying her position as a member of the Disciplinary Committee.

She also wears black stockings & brown leather shin-length flat-boots.

Under her skirt, attached to her left thigh, is an anti-vampire weapon: the Artemis Rod.

Yuki is deeply empathetic, often putting others' safety above her own. While kind, cheerful & brave, she can be naive & insecure. She is often kept in the dark by others, leading to guilt over her ignorance of the suffering around her.

Despite that, she is generally optimistic & often brings a lighthearted, comedic touch to her environments. She has intense, enduring loyalty & protectiveness to her loved ones, & as a Guardian, she often acts on impulse to keep the peace between humans & vampires.

Shes noted as being a poor student who sleeps in class.

Yuki is good at P.E, especially using the vaulting box, & comparing various parfaits. She treasures a rose that blooms every 10 years, encased in resin (a souvenir from the vampire who saved her).

Her hobbies are eating & sleeping, & her favourite fashion is sweet, feminine thats easy to move around in.
