They knew they weren’t supposed to be snooping around their pop’s lab, especially when he wasn’t home. He’d insisted the boys stay at the house as he and Brock went out to some stupid sciencey fair— Hank’s words. So as curious as they both were, they peered into the dark lab, flickers of lights from machinery all that illuminated the room.
Hank flicked the light on and was the first to step fully in the room, peering around but ultimately staring straight at the new addition to the lab. Some sort of big platform thing with a few buttons on a keypad stood in the center of the room, drawing both boys attention.
“I don’t remember pop ever mentioning building this.” Hank blinked, already striding over to stand on the platform. Dean walked in after him, looking at the controls cautiously. “Me neither, but be careful Hank. We don’t know what this can do.”
Hank scoffed at that and put his hands on his hips. Dean was always such a killjoy, he just wanted to check out some new cool machine. “Don’t be a drag, Deano. It’ll be just fine. Hey, let’s see what this even does!” He grinned and yanked Dean onto the platform with him, much to the others exasperation and whine of protest.
“Hank! What are you doing? You’re gonna get us in trouble!” Dean fret, his eyebrows pushed up and his eyes widening as he saw Hank reach for the button on the controls. Before he could even say anything, the machine activated and a whirlwind of multicolored particles appeared at their feet and dropped them straight through the floor through a portal to god knows where.
It had felt like they were falling and respectively screaming until they fell through to a new place.
