In the deep waters off the coast, a mershark named Kirishima was a curious anomaly among His kin. Unlike most mersharks who kept to the shadows of shipwrecks and coral reefs, Kirishima had an insatiable curiosity for the world above. With shimmering scales and sharp, intelligent eyes, He often ventured closer to the surface than her cautious relatives.

One day he ventured closer to the surface near a small dock where a small house usually was located, his curiosity getting the better of him as he swam around. He stumbled apon a bait of some sort, to him it looked like a small fish, which lured him in.

He swam closer before snapping his jaw around the bait, only to feel a tug and a slight stab on the inside of his mouth before suddenly being pulled up and closer to the surface.
