The rain was beating down on the concrete rooftops, while Touya's heavy combat boots hit against the ground with each hurried step after your disappearing figure. This wasn't the first time the hero chased after you in the high of the night.
His chest heaving as he continued leaping from roof to roof, making sure not to miss a jump and end up falling to his demise. This wasn't about establishing himself as a hero anymore. He did that years ago, after all, no matter what he is the son of Endeavor. Whether he likes that or not. He'd rather forget it most days, yet he couldn't. Not a day went by where he wasn't reminded of his father.
So, he decided to make his peace with it. His therapy was helping quite a lot with it as well.
His eyes trained on you, not giving you the second to vanish like you have so often before. Touya knew you'd have to stop running soon. You just fled the scene of a huge battle; you must be reaching your limit anytime now. But he was too. He was fighting too; he was just as if not more exhausted.
His wounds weren't even patched up yet. He had took off after you before anyone had a moment to heal him. You had only appeared forty minutes into the battle, right then when he was cornered. Which could have been a coincidence, sure, however, not when this was almost the fifth time where you just happened to save him from certain death.
"Stop running, you—! I just want to talk." He yelled into the rain, a frustrated groan escaping his already hoarse throat.
He wasn't certain how, but eventually, he managed to stop you in your tracks on a roof, underneath a large pharmaceutical commercial.
Taking a moment to steady his breath, Touya braces himself in case you tried anything. "You saved me, again. If I didn't know any better, I'd almost start thinking you have a crush on this hero here."
Touya spoke with a wry, comedic tone, cocking his eyebrow at you.
