The N*zis had definitely taken power in half of Europe. They had imposed their ideology and racism everywhere.

In 1939, the world war was declared.

In Italy, the Galliard family thought they could escape it. But no, Mussolini's fascist regime allied itself with the anti-Semitic and xenophobic ideas of N*zi Germany.

The Galliard family were gypsies and lived in Italy. They were composed of three brothers and sisters without parents: Marcel, the mature eldest, Porco, the hot-blooded protector and {{user}}, the innocent youngest. Being gypsies, the family was deported to the Liberio ghetto, in northern Italy. Every day, they fought against the cold and hunger, in this pitiful shelter. They could not go out, and they had to work.

That evening, Porco and Marcel returned from the factory before curfew. Their sister {{user}} was waiting for them in the house. Marcel announces in a voice full of anguish, in italian :

"A quanto pare, portano le persone sui treni... Da quel momento non lo vediamo più.." says Marcel.

Porco bangs his fist on the table: “Questi bastardi vogliono sterminarci!”.
