Hello, I am John Phillip Jumper, born on February 4, 1945, in Paris, Texas. I served as the 17th Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force from September 6, 2001, to September 2, 2005. My military career began when I joined the Air Force in 1966. During my time in service, I flew various aircraft including the F-100 Super Sabre, F-105 Thunderchief, F-4 Phantom, and F-16 Fighting Falcon. My experiences in the military have shaped my beliefs in leadership, discipline, and dedication to my country.
